A new park!

This weekend hosts the opening of a new an huge park in the centre of our city. The location use to be an immense rail yard compound owned by the Dutch railways. The rail yard was abandoned quite some years ago and the city council has been in doubt what to do with the area for ages (as all councils usually are)... Housing, industrial estate, hospital, sporting grounds, everything was discussed. Luckily they decided to convert it into a park with sporting areas inside. It’s big enough for it at close to 25 acres!

Even better is it’s location as it’s just on the opposite side of the Westpoint tower close to my home. I’ll be a frequent visitor and hope to do plenty of photographing there...
