It wasn’t a late one, but after a lovely dinner in the Port Charlotte Hotel and finally a testing of 2 whiskies and meeting a couple due to marry the next day, the only thing to do was
A cold cold dunk in the sea at 8am. The bride to be joined us too.
It was ...... cold. We showered, had breakfast and then retired to duvets fior an hour before we stopped shivering and Anna’s hands returned to normal colour.
Most distilleries were at least photographed, some purchasing may have occurred. We walked up on the moor above Gruinart, saw squabbling Hen Harriers reeling overhead and perched by the road and then a last cup of tea before we boarded the 3:30 ferry from Port Askaig.
Driving back to Leadhills meant we had to visit one of my first ever Blipmates. The first time we’ve met after nearly ten years! It was all to brief, but really great to see R.
Arrived in Leadhills a few hours later and now in front of the fire with another drive tomorrow. Missions being ticked off for Scottish Fishgirl...
