The Rare Chippiebird

The chipmunks thought that we put up this feeder just for them.  Why not?  It was definitely a perfect fit!  They were so cute that we decided to just let them enjoy the free meal so we could watch them.  The Chickadees were not pleased but they managed to get their share between chippie visits.

The low water level has been very good for fishing.  Darrin went out with his dad on his boat and they both came back with their limit of 4 each.  Between them, they caught 8 Lake Trout all about the size of the ones Darrin is holding in the extra.  In the upper right of the collage are Mel's hands demonstrating his expert filleting technique and in the lower is Darrin trying it out with Mel's guidance.
