Land's End on the longest day

Yesterday, England's southernmost point, and today, its most westerly: had to pick this iconic landmark for my blip. The weather was glorious - and so clear we could see the Scilly Isles on the horizon.

My Extras include the rocky coastline and a service helicopter perched on top of Longships lighthouse, 1.5 miles out. The other picture, with foxgloves in the foreground, and a distant line of deep blue sea, I took on our way to St Ives, where we eventually found somewhere to park. Earlier, we made a drive-through visit to Mousehole, the picturesque fishing village, too. Everywhere was seething with visitors - goodness knows what it's like in school holidays!
