Up early and on the bus to the station. Train to Birmingham to meet S and visit the Jewellery quarter. Spent most of the time either in cafes or the Jewellery Museum. Fascinating place- small jewellery factory was closed in 1981 and the place was left as it was on the last day of business. Strange thing to do at the time but a good thing for local history as it was acquired by a foundation 12 years later and turn d into a museum. Blip is the dies used to make patterns or shapes.
