Winter feeding

We have a couple of apple trees at our home, not what I would call nice apples. The Blackbirds and Wax eyes are not starving and by the time they finish an apple there is only the skin left.   Not very often I work overtime, solely because I disagree with having to exploit my free time to pay more tax and I lose a day. Today I completed the 6 monthly Water Meter Round, 333 water meters and about 600km in travel to read the total of 4 Routes. One High User customer is making changes in their water usage practices to minimise and eliminate water wastage and have done well this month. Picked up a few private leaks and overall pleased it's over, I read Monthly, 3 Monthly and 6 monthly.
