In the background a (very) fire-damaged building which is some sort of protected building.  It has been in this state for many years but is soon to be become home to several doctors' surgeries. It's great that someone has found a use for this rather lovely piece of Blackburn history.
It's just struck me that this is a picture of Bramble in front of the brambles!
Camping Matresses - too much choice?
There are a lot of people in the UK and it sometimes means it feels a bit crowded. However, all those people mean there are shops offering a lot of choice when it comes to more-or-less anything.  In this case of the extra photo, camping mattresses, seen in one of the many rooms at Outdoor Action on the edge of Blackburn town centre. That is a bit of promotion for them but it is well-deserved as they are something of an institution in the area, and staffed by people who know of what they sell. Also it provides a lovely contrast to the big "sports" chains with their polished racks and minimum wage staff.
