Training Session

Juvenile goldfinches have been visiting the nyger seed this morning.  At first they were accompanied by an adult, who seemed to be showing them how to get at the seed.  The adult then left them to it.  One of them decided that those narrow slits were just too complicated so got it's seed from what had fallen to the bottom of the feeder.  That bird is destined for great things, thinking outside the box. The others seemed to be managing the slits really well.
