Rainbow lorikeets

are native to Australia and are very prevalent  this area.  At dusk each evening hundreds arrive and roost in the pine trees along the beachfront where they roost overnight. The noise is incredible. Then, just before dawn you  hear them again as they leave the trees and return to their daytime habitat.
