The Scottish Wool Tree
Have you met this very special tree? It is a bit in the same vein as the one-legged haggis and the spaghetti tree! At certain times of the year, wool wraps the lower branches and hangs from these hawthorn trees in exposed areas of Scotland where more warmth is needed. This morning my cycle route took me up to the more exposed hills (hence my big beast - the electric bike) and to my surprise, the trees were still wrapped in wool.
