Old Pennies

When we were at Mrs madwill’s mum’s house on Wednesday we uncovered a pot of ancient coins. They are mostly pennies and dated 1900. This one though is dated 1896. There is one that is so worn and thin you cannot read any of the inscriptions.

They belonged to Mrs madwill’s grandfather. I have checked and they are almost worthless from a financial angle, but obviously are a family memento.

We are staying overnight at our daughter’s house, dogsitting whilst they are all at a wedding do. Not had a chance to photograph anything else. Off to Lancashire tomorrow!
