Day 3 - Heath Fritillary

Back to Blean Woods in Kent,  and this time we found the Heath Fritillary. Following the correct path, and being in the right place, makes all the difference. I managed to see about 15 of them but they didn’t stay in one spot for very long and they were hard to photograph in the grass.

Next stop – Bournemouth. Early dinner and then out for a bit of evening bird watching. I saw Dartford Warblers for the first time. I also saw and heard Nightjars. Nightjars make the weirdest churring noise.
