Fully Charged

After a very warm Parkrun for me (Chris) this morning, we went to collect this e-Golf on a 48 hour free test drive. It's a fully electric car, the first time either of us has driven anything fully electric. Being existing VW Golf owners, much of it is very familiar but obviously the lack of fossil fuel power is something completely different. We're not planning to change cars soon but as VW were pushing the test drive opportunity, we thought why not. 

Having got over the odd sensation of driving away near silently, we've been impressed with the instant power and performance. That said, the range isn't great and with our current typical driving mileage, we're not sure we could live with it - but it's not that far off being a practical proposition for us. We will certainly give all electric a look when we get to the next car changeover.
