Unusual View

Wintertime view of a corner of our dining room. People are always curious about the ceiling panels... they are 2'x4' panels of concrete impregnated with a cellulosic material and are called "Tectum." They are 3" thick and quite heavy.... those are 8x10 rough beams that support the load. The panels are sprayed inside with an off-white and very light coat of paint.
Below the mirror in the low right corner of the picture, there's a fireplace and on the other side of the brick wall, is the living room.. also with its own large windows.
There's snow outside today. Sorry it doesn't show here. We so enjoy the view out our windows... especially in the Springtime and Fall when the colors are rich. We tend to leave the shades up year-round. Unusual for the one on the left to be closed, but the light was too bright on that side for the photo.
We live about 30 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.
