The Oor Wullie Big Bucket Trail has taken over Scotland’s cities - and a fair few towns too.

This one really made me smile today on Princes St in Edinburgh. It depicts the amazing Tom Gilzean - local character and fundraiser extraordinaire. He has - single-handedly - raised over £1m for the Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital through can rattling on the streets of the city over many decades.

At 99, he’s had to slow down a wee bit, but this statue dedicated to him is a wonderful tribute to a big-hearted citizen.
