I was at a book reading tonight where my friend and a few other authors were talking about excerpts from their books. It was held at the Gordon Highlanders Museum and we had a chance to look round the main exhibits before the event started. I was glad because a few years ago I found out my great grandad  was a Highlander. I was able to read about the Battle of Loos where he had died and was surprised at how emotional it felt. I did take a photo of the writing but it's not playing ball to be added in the extra photos!
