En pointe

Today I watched Carys dance en pointe for the first time. It was her last MA1 class of the year at the Royal Ballet School. It was lovely to see how much improvement she has made since Christmas despite her three month hip injury. She looked beautiful and strong. She held her own and certainly did not stand out as the girl who hadn't been a JA.

Put many of my jitters about what we are doing to bed, at least for the time being.

Carys's local ballet school teacher came to watch today. She told me how proud she was of Carys and how she was doing. She felt she was more than holding her own in this class. All good things to her. Remind me of all of this when we start again in September.
