The splitter

A busy day for both of us. I did some work in the garden and in the house. I finally cleaned the stove, something that's been on my to-do list. G split a lot of the winter wood, much easier on his back with the splitter. I was just finishing a load of laundry when a knock came at the door, and I thought I'd accidentally locked G out. But it was neighbour Bill, and G was just walking up from the woods where he'd been working. He caught us both at a good time. He'd come to get some veggies, so we had coffee and sat in the garden for a couple of hours. Really nice to have an unexpected break. Time to get supper going now.
