What mothers make possible

More life! Here I am thoroughly enjoying myself with my husband and son, all of us just off an 8-mile downwind race on the Columbia River. Look close and you will see that I have a first place finish; Wilson a second; Paul a third. Of course, we're in different boat and age categories, and never mind that I took a slightly safer and shorter route. Wilson came in 5th overall. Pretty impressive.

I am not visiting my mom this weekend, but have to believe that she would have wanted me to enjoy myself and family. I do!
