Birthday treat

Nikki and I slept in bed with the kids last night in the hope we could keep them asleep for a little longer in the morning. The little lady woke at 2am and we eventually succumbed to getting out of bed at 3am. Her brother followed shortly after.

At least we managed to watch the Women's World Cup, although it was a shame to see the Matildas get knocked out by Norway. Hopefully England will fair better tomorrow (that's the beauty of having a multinational family. We get four chances in World Cups - Australia, USA, England and Scotland).

We met up Nikki's mum a little later, surprising her for her birthday brunch (she thought we were arriving a few days later).

The afternoon was more chilled, playing with the kids and waiting for Nikki's suitcase to be delivered.
