Flax flower spike.

A quiet start to the day; after lunch and doing the shopping for the special dinner, S planned for this evening with the daughters and grandies, I had a walk beside Coxs Creek. Which is where i saw this magnificent spike against the sky.

Then I went to the storage, and got out almost all the last bits so that we will be able to close it this coming weekend after I get some help to move the two largest items. 

Dinner tonight was excellent, although S inadvertently grasped a very hot handle, and has a burned hand. Got it into ice cold water pretty quickly so I'm hoping the damage won't be too bad.
