DIP NOT TWITCH

We went to Frampton Marsh on the East coast today, getting up at 5am!, which I did not know was part of the plan. But we did get the last space in the car park as many others had the same idea. But, the Black-winged Pratincole was nowhere to be seen. There were cows though, and a very kind man who gave me a lift back to the car after I’d hobbled to the sea. Not that I saw the sea either as although it was high tide the water was a long way away.

In complete contrast, I am reading The Easternmost House by Juliet Blaxland, which is set on the East coast where the sea is destroying metres of coastline each year. It is beautifully written and I highly recommend it.
