Flooding

It is a long drive from Kintail to Edinburgh, thank you to Frank who got us there and back safely. Especially when we were caught on the motorway directly under a thunderstorm. There was a moment when I believed the car had been hit by lightening. 

On our way back into Edinburgh we hit stair rod rain and it had obviously been falling for some time. There were burst mains in the middle of the road. Up-spouting drain covers. Rivers flooding the roads above the kerbs. This house had water over the front step, and it was not the only one. 

Frank got us back safely though, slowly, patiently and sensibly. Thanks Frank. 

I have never seen it like this in Edinburgh.
