Gardens on my mind! (Again)

A friend of mine has asked if I’ll take some photos of her garden so that she can enter the Open Gardens Scheme next year, so I had gardens and photography on my mind.  I’d been thinking creatively about atmospheric images - possibly taken into the sun and then I saw the effect of the overnight rain and decided the rain can be pretty interesting in the garden too.  Initially I thought I’d try and capture the water droplets on one of our grasses but they came out looking a bit flat and in the end I much preferred this one with the contrasting yellow and purple and the delicate strand of grass.

We have been out and about this afternoon, so I did have other choices, including roadside poppies. We’ve also been for our five weekly foot pampering and that would have made an interesting blip too.  I’ll save them for another day.
