Watering

This is 14yr old Eduardo, who came today to learn how to water our trees and vines while we're away, day yes, day no, as they say in Portuguese. He wants to earn enough money to get a tattoo on his arm of his parents' names. The tree he's watering here is one of our leucenas, we got the seed from a tree in Lisbon. The rabbits have taken a liking to them and get through the wire cage, hence the cardboard tube. Leucena can take over, but not in dry areas like this, hoping it will help improve our poor soil.

Notice also the denuded area all round the house, a precaution against wildfire.

Gratefuls:
- Eduardo being willing to do this for us, and the fun visit with his Mum and cheeky little sister
- getting the house clean and tidy, just need to pack now...
- a cool, cloudy day, almost felt like rain at one point

Last Bible study of the year at 21h, it's been such a good group.
