I stayed overnight in Carlisle and then made my way to Marpaul and Misty to spend a fantastic day with them before my long drive south.
After catching up with a cup of tea, Marian took me to Finlandrigg Woods where this picture was taken and where we saw some stunning Orchids, one is in extras.   After lunch we then went to the marsh, where the tide was just coming in and Misty was able to paddle/swim.
All to soon it was time to leave them and make my way down the M6, over the Pennines and then down the A1 home, arriving at quarter past midnight!
