Logs
This massive and probably ancient hedgerow tree - a beech I think, came down in the storms last winter. It has been chopped into pieces, each about the size of a Mini, and left at the side of the field. I hope they are being left as wildlife habitat, because it would require a tractor and chains to move them. Tried counting the tree rings to see how old it was but couldn't really make them out well enough. Certainly older than me!
