Heiligenblut

We left early this morning for a trip to Heiligenblut in the mountains for 3 nights. It takes about 6 hours to drive there but it is through some stunning landscape. We made good time so we were able to take the cable car up to Schareck, the mountain above the town, before it closed. There is still quite a lot of snow lying around as there were some late heavy snows this year. Usually, one can get good views of Großglockner, the highest mountain in Austria, but there was quite a lot of cloud obscuring the peak. It was quite cool and windy at 2600m above sea level so we had a hot chocolate to warm up after looking around.
Down in the valley it was much warmer so we relaxed with a Hugo on the balcony of a restaurant then had dinner there before calling an early night
