Painted lady
To make up for my rotten day stuck indoors yesterday we went along to Mannerstons on the road to Bo'ness for lunch. We couldn't decide what we wanted to eat so in the end shared a tomato and basil soup and a black pudding and roasted goats cheese salad, delicious.
We popped across to the garden centre to pick up some plants for a couple of my pots which somehow look a bit sparse and were charmed by this painted lady. It spent ages fluttering around the various colour groupings but these were clearly the favourite.
Walked along to D'mains to get my nails done thanks to a voucher I got last July for my birthday.... I thought I'd better use it before it expired.
You should all be prepared for the return of some good weather as I've made a pot of soup in disgust at the rotten weather we're getting just now.
Still at least it stayed dry today . We've got all A and S's furniture in our garage just now, thankfully mostly off the ground, a couple of casualties though as the garage had a river running through it yesterday and is still pretty wet. I don't understand how such a small area of the city could have had so much rain and other parts so much less. Very odd to be quite so localised over such a long period....
....and the phone at the rectory will doesn't work!!! Virgin are blaming BT as apparently they still own the number.
14004 steps today so weekly target met
