Plaza Major, Madrid

We took the AVE high-speed train at 6.00pm and arrived to stifling Madrid heat at 9.10pm, navigated the metro system to be able to use our metro connection ticket included in our AVE ticket and checked into our usual, simple hostal-hotel near Sol.  The heat is a bit of a shock to the system. It must be at least 30 degrees and humid!  We headed straight to Plaza Major and are enjoying small fried fish and little roast potatoes (pescaditos fritos and patatas bravas.) I didn't think to bring my fan and so that will be my first purchase. Here's Plaza Major in all its glory.
