Rocky mountaineer

Today was the Banff to lake Louise tour. Again hard to choose just one picture. Our first stop was the spiral tunnels. They are a tunnels in the mountain created by railway engineers in 1909 to make a 4% gradient into a 2% to give the trains safe
passage down the hill. As the engin appears from the tunnel the rear hasn’t entered it yet. We are staying in the lake Louise chateau tonight and middle
Ictureis the view of lake Louise. Botton middle right picture are the visitors to the Banff springs hotel at breakfast and the top middle right is our view at dinner tonight. As it is my birthday we ate at the hotel. Bottom middle left is the natural bridge where one of our party dropped his phone into the falls below. Top right is one of the stained glass windows at the chateau and top left is the chandelier in the reception area. 4 ladies are holding lamps to north south east and west to guide their Swiss guide husbands home in the dark from many years ago
