Brownsholme Hall

A few jobs this morning and then we took the rest of the day off while the van was having a new mirror fitted.
We took a drive to Slaidburn in the Trough of Bowland and had some lunch in the Riverbank Tearooms followed by a visit to Brownsholme Hall.It is only open one day a week for a few months of the year and each time we have drove past over the years it has always been shut.Today we had our chance to have a look around the gardens followed by a very good coffee and cake.
All in all a good day out.

Time in a bottle we were talking about this song yesterday.It is such a great song.From a time when songs could be listened too without giving you a head ache or making your ears bleed or question if the artist had any grasp of the English language.Hate the boom bang a bang crap that is turned out today heavily influenced by the dross pedalled by cheap x-factor style shows.
As each day goes by I find it harder to recognise the country I have spent my life living in.
