More eiderlings

A few Eider nests are still occupied, and one or two newly hatched broods a week are led on the perilous journey down to the sea. I disturbed Mum this morning on the way down to the shop, and she sensibly hid under cover at the entrance to the Abbey. Sadly, I don't think many ducklings make it past the gulls.
