Youngsters

Went up the allotment for further transplanting (this is all happening much later than is ideal). Managed to palm off some neep plantlets on Willie (we're not sure if they'll transplant, but nothing ventured....) and some more purple sprouting on to our neighbour opposite whose name I've forgotten. And he gave me a few shallots - bonus!

There was a riot of fledgling starlings on the bird feeder in the garden over the wall, making a lot of racket, and as I left I noticed some young spudgers having what I though was a dust bath in the seat of a neighbour's old plastic chair - until I zoomed in and realised there must have been a little puddle there, so they were all having an actual bath. :-)
