Surprise!

All night a storm raged, the wind howling down the chimney and the rain battering against the windows! And then it went on for most of the day, until about 4 o'clock, when the wind and the rain stopped, and the sun came out just as it was setting. Here I am, it seemed to say, but I'm not staying!
So we abandoned our plans for going out and did lots of useful things at home, finding items we had forgotten about, looking at old photos etc.
I think this is my 300th blip - unbelievable - this tree did look magnificent against the setting sun, even though we only saw it for half an hour!
