Crazy Day

Not a cloud in the sky, wall to wall sunshine, probably the warmest place in the country yet the wind has been blowing gale force for the last 24 hours with gusts in excess of 50 mph and this is set to continue. This mature Rhododendron in a heavy tub was blown over and even my step ladder, with no wind resistance, was blown over 3 times while I was attempting an outside job in the shelter of the garage. A lot of tree damage around the village and things going "bump" in the night.
