sophisticated retro dining for 1

usually the kindly Mister finds some succulent dish from M&S for me to have when he's out gaming, but this week i said NO!  
because i'd found the very thing at the Village Store.
after 45 years, 
will a Vesta Chow Mein taste the same?
will it capture the flavour of the Orient?
will i bother to fry the crispy bits?

verdict

well.  clearly i’ve gone a little off piste with this choice.
i followed the instructions to the letter & ml.
i did waste good oil making the crispy noodles, 
because i wanted to give it a fair go.
it’s too sloppy, and tastes awful.
but i tried to make it look pretty.

i managed half of it, but have decided to fill up on strawberries.
