Castle

We got to take a tour of this castle.  It was hugely interesting.
It is one of three castles in Germany that was never successfully attacked.
While the building is a study in defensive works, the surrounding countryside is the true reason  for it's success.  It would have been almost impossible to bring a cannon to bear upon the walls without that cannon itself being destroyed.
