Seminal German electronic group Kröte released their second and final album, Arbeiten ('Works') in February 1972.  They were Kraftwerk's principal influence.

The members of the band were tragically killed in a catastrophic Mellotron failure during rehearsals for planned performances of the album near checkpoint C in Berlin later that year.  The Mellotron tape-frame design was subsequently modified.
