The Law

After I'd collected the hire car we went across to Fife to see Lesley. Unnecessary quantities of water fell down on us en route; the occasional signs saying "Beware surface water" were rather redundant. After we'd eaten a v nice lunch the weather cleared up so we trotted up to the cemetery and the auld yin's grave. Largo Law is just beyond the back wall and in the foreground is an Araucaria araucana , far from its native Chile and pruned in a very strange fashion; positively a French poodle amongst trees.

Before heading back we popped up to Cupar to see the big man, who's doing remarkably well after a (second) brain tumour op. It was great to see him and S again; we did our best to update them with all the latest Leith gossip, although it's not the same since Pat's closed down!
