Resting fly
I drove around the coast this morning looking for a wave to surf but the wind was blowing the waves out at every surf break visited. On the journey home I stumbled across a couple of Kahu (Swamp harrier) at the side of the road but they were in no mood to have their photograph taken and flew away before any cameras could be readied. So here we have a fly on a flower instead. ;o)
Today, the 1st of March, is the start of Autumn here in New Zealand. Summer unfortunately ended for us with a strong gale and torrential bouts of rain. The wind was doing its best to lift the roof of our house and stripped the leaves off many of my trees in the garden. We even had a power outage for most of yesterday.
