Complementary colours

Last autumn, of the cuttings I took from my sister-in-law's salvia, only one rooted - and here it is in flower. Below is a clematis that was new last year. Both are in pots as I don't have much garden to play with, but they seem to be thriving. I do give them a granular feed.

Mr PP Junior and wife are heading to Avignon today for a wedding. It's only looking like the hottest day on record in Provence. Don't envy them, but hope tomorrow's heat doesn't spoil the day for bride, groom and guests. Don't envy our daughter carrying her own personal central-heating bump, either. C'est la vie!
