dolphins putting on a show.

spent a day with my sister and her man on their boat, fishing in the Bay of Islands. Couldn't have asked for a better day; caught around 12 snapper - including a few massive ones - had a giant marlin cruise right by our boat, had a shark on a line twice until it did some aerial acrobatics and cut the line, saw a school of dolphins with these two putting on their own aerial display, had big seabirds dive-bombing bait fish all around the boat, had one of them chase my line down as I dropped it in the ocean - thankfully he missed it.
Started the day in heavy fog and calm glassy seas - and went onto to sunny skies and a nice sea breeze to keep us cool.
Perfect day for a holiday.
