The Old Forge (Thursday 27th June 2019)

Gardening Wednesday with Refna was enjoyable and productive as always. The garden is looking pretty good at the moment and there was even an idle thought of entering it for the Open Gardens scheme in the future.

The following day I went around with my camera, gathering shots for The Woodland Gardens online album. These zingy rose campions (Lychnis coronaria) are favourites of mine and are growing in the tub that houses a bird feeder pole. I had to choose between this and the Extra, with Archie as a backdrop, but I have blipped that other plant before.

It wasn't my intention to make these LOTDs link one to another, but as the previous one did, so does this, because the album this comes from is last year's  A Deeper Understanding, a title inspired by the Kate Bush song.
