Flower Friday

Summer has definitely arrived. I went for a walk by Shottery Brook this morning looking for a suitable pic for this week's Flower Friday. There wasn't much in the way of colour, other than green, but by the river opposite Anne's Hathaway's cottage I spotted this flower, a purple Canterbury Bell possibly(?).

As luck would have it, it was also attracting the attention of a pair of hoverflies. I manage to get a photo with the hoverfly in flight, though the flowers themselves are a little iffy!

This afternoon I attended the WRAP AGM in my role as treasurer, insomuch as I had to give a financial report. Luckily nobody asked any awkward questions after.
