Phare du Pontsuval
Another day, another lighthouse! It seemed a different sort of day this morning. A bit misty and a little chillier. We headed up the coast a way to Plages de Brignogan and had a coffee there. The sun began to emerge from out of the mist and we moved just a little to the west to the lighthouse on the 'Pagan Coast' known as 'Shipwreck Shore'. There certainly are some wonderful rocks here on the coast and inland. The authorities asked for a lighthouse to be built and this one came into use at la pointe de Beg-Pol in 1869 and is still an active lighthouse. It's apparently the most photographed lighthouse in Europe.
I've added an extra from the other side of Beg-Pol and there are some more from the day in my album here if you'd like to see them.
