The Irony...

Ewan asked for a slimey science kit for his christmas and Uncle Coco got him just that. I didn't tell his mum that it says ages 10+ on the box. It says 10+ on the box, probably for good reason. It is rather involved and more what I'd call chemistry/science than toy.

The irony is that even though Ewan helped make some of these worms##, he was even wincing when a stunt hand was employed to hold them for him.

I think he was actually putting it on as he quite likes stuff like this.

## The worms are made from a sodium alginate solution which is like a thick clear slime. The alginate solution had some green colouring added to it and then squeezed in long drips into a calcium chloride solution bath The calcium in the bath, bonds the alginate making a bonded polymer which is what is hanging from Bethany's hand. It's like a light plyable rubber.
