Lutheran Church at Rainrod, Schwalmtal, Germany

My great-great grandfather last saw this building just before he left for a new life in the USA.  
That was 187 years ago (in 1832).
Today I walked where he walked, I prayed where he prayed, and I saw this House of God for the last time in my life just as he did.
It's quite strange that a place I've never been to can have the feeling of         "home".
