Lauriston Castle at sunset
Today was a day for lying in, doing a spot of admin and whisky tasting at our neighbours' house! Before we sampled, we took a walk around Lauriston Castle armed with camera, tripod and my new toy: a wireless remote control so I can eliminate the dreaded picture shake in low light. I'm happy to say it works...now I just need to work on my settings right...and my foot work...I slipped on some moss on the steps behind the house and ended up spreadeagled. It was touch and go, but I think Hubby's concern for me was more than his concern for the camera which had also thudded down the steps with me. I think the camera got off better than me. It is fortunately unscathed. I, on the other hand, am now nursing a massive bruise on the rear, elbow, a broken watch strap and a patch of moss on the rear of my jeans and ski jacket!
Thankfully a couple of nurofen and a glass of whisky has battered the pain into submission. Thank you to M&D for a lovely evening with the neighbours sampling Scotland's finest.
