Alfriston days.
As i entered ‘Ye Olde Smugglers Inne’ the childhood aroma of parrafin filled thr public bar.. there was the lovely Lisa with the largest tin of ‘Brasso’ ive ever seen!..
And goodness me the beer pumps were gleaming.. every piece of brass arround the bar was given the Lisa treatment.. the whizzing and slap of her polishing rag as she got stuck into the pumps was to be admired..
I quietly tucked my t-shirt over my brass trouser belt.. in case she spotted it!
All in all a fine day out in Alfriston.. its said to be the most painted village in England.. and no wonder.. a real olde world chocolate box of a place.
